Pocket Swap
Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How does Pocket Swap work?
A. With Pocket Swap, you can send money directly with your Southwest National Bank debit card to anyone with a debit card and/or checking account of their own.
How it works:
  1. You initiate a payment using Southwest National Bank's Online Banking from any device.
  2. The funds are debited from your account immediately.
  3. The recipient will receive an email or text message with instructions to accept the payment.
  4. The recipient will enter their debit card information. If the receiver does not have a debit card or if the financial institution does not participate in Person-to Person (P2P) transfers, they are able to accept the payment by entering their bank account information.
  5. Funds can be received immediately using a debit card or 2 – 4 business days with a checking account.

Q. How much can I send with Pocket Swap?
A. You may transfer up to $500 (USD) per transaction and up to $1,000 (USD) in a rolling 24 hour period. You may send multiple transfers each day and there is no cutoff time.
This means that if you hit your limit at 10:00 a.m. on a Tuesday, the limit will not reset until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Q. Can I access Pocket Swap from my mobile phone?
A. Yes. Pocket Swap is accessible using any device (PC, mobile app, online). From your mobile phone, you can login to Southwest National Bank's Online Banking through your browser or using our free MyBankNow app. Pocket Swap is listed with the other menu options.
All you need is a Southwest National Bank MasterCard® Debit Card and your recipient's email address or cell phone number.

Q. When I send money with Pocket Swap, how does the recipient retrieve the money?
A. The recipient will receive an email or text message, depending on the option you use to send, with instructions on how to accept the payment. They can then enter their debit card or checking account information, and the funds will be transferred electronically into their account.
If the recipient accepts the payment using their debit card, the funds are received immediately.
If they use their checking account, the funds will be received within 2 – 4 business days.

Q. What should a Pocket Swap recipient do if they receive a message that their debit card is ineligible?
A. Some financial institutions don't allow for use of a debit card for receiving Person-to-Person (P2P) payments. They can still retrieve their money by using their routing and checking account number.

A. All of Southwest National Bank's online services are FREE! Connectivity and usage rates from your wireless service provider may apply when using your mobile device. Contact your wireless service provider for more details.
