Southwest Strong

Because of recent high profile bank failures, there has been much press, social media, and discussion regarding how safe are bank deposits. In a speech last week, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said, "community banks provide vital credit and financial support to families and small businesses, increase competition in the banking sector, and often have specialized knowledge and expertise in the communities they invest in." The Federal Reserve also stated last week, as part of their recent rate hike announcement, "the U.S. banking system is sound and resilient."

We could not agree more with Secretary Yellen and the FED. Southwest National Bank has a strong, long-term relationship with our customers, helping meet your financial needs. Unlike other recently failed banks, our deposits are local, scattered throughout the Wichita community, served by our eight banking centers. We have a long history of maintaining a strong financial position, in addition to being a well-capitalized bank under regulatory guidelines.
