External Transfer

Attaching an account that is not yours via External Transfer could be considered fraud. Likewise, giving your account information to someone to set up an external transfer is not advised.

  • Adding an external account

    1. From the navigation menu, select Services > Add External Account
    2. Enter the Account Number for the account at the other financial institution
    3. Enter the Routing Number for the other financial institution. The image on the page illustrates where the routing number is on a check.
    4. Select the Account Type from the drop down list
    5. Select Submit
  • Verifying an external account

    1. Two deposits will go into your account at the other financial institution 
    2. From the navigation menu, select Services > Verify External Account
    3. Click or tap the account you want to verify
    4. Enter the amounts of the two deposits that we made to the external account
    5. Click or tap Continue
    6. After verification, the external transfer account appears in the list of account that you can use in transfers
